You will scarcely find any facts about the life of E. Villanis in the literature.
We have done extensive research and the results were published in the following two articles:

The spelling of the name varies: Villani (Italian) / Villanis (French).
There are a lot of reproductions, adaptions, copies or fakes of his oeuvre!
Most of them are made in the US or Taiwan today. But there are old ones, too.
The signature "E. Villanis" on a sculpture does not mean anything!
There are even busts made by other listed artists the reproductions of which are signed with "E. Villanis".
Be careful - especially in the US!
